This is exactly what I need to hear. Granted, its sort of another song paying homage to how down hip hop was. But Munga, A-Nice, Ashy and DJ Action Rick (The Lytics) bring a whole vibe that isn’t just how cool it use to be, but how much in love we all were with it, corner to corner. Plus, this feels good just to feel good. Pick up the album Here. Facebook them Here.

I think 2 out of 3 dubstep songs I hear use the same fucking bassline. Someone might say, “jeagh guy, but tis FIRE line yo.” And I’d say, “But when eretings on fire, soon it all be burned to ground.” Really, the death of dubstep will be it’s lack of innovation. Until then tho, This Stranglers remix could be fun at the right party… like, one of those parties where kids have patches saying PUNKS NOT DEAD. To which I show them my patch that says DISCO’s NOT DEAD…EITHER.

The list of songs I almost post up is getting long. But last minute changes happen. this week… there was a different song right here, and at this precise moment, I’m feeling some Welder. Also known as ESKMO (coming to a mixtape monday near you), this is not quite dubstep in my book. A little abstract, from The Chalice Well (buy it here).

I lover this / I don’t lover this. Tame One and Del… doing it by not doing it. Yet another song about how cool hiphop …was. Seems to be what hip hop is about. That and Jay Z (seriously?) But the ‘off the cuffness’ of this song is what catches me. When Tame loses the beat and doesn’t seem to give a shit, thats hot. When Del… um… is Del, thats hot. I’m not flippin over this song. I’m just saying, I’m glad these guys are at least having fun in the studio.

I’ve come to see that anyone can make up a little bit of truth. Ideas about art, love, violence, order, chaos, right and wrong… good…bad… it’s all convincing. Universal ideas are the oatmeal of the universe, but flavor it with too much cynicism or fear under the guise of truth, and it’s a poisonous meal for you. So the intake is garbage. Lets exhale some too. A big Fuck You to every one that looks for little tidbits of self affirming facts pulled from every angle that they can find to justify their stance on any particular issue. Spending more time convincing themselves than anyone else, but if someone is worth two bits of shit, eventually they’ll admit they don’t know shit from shinola. What have you done? Looking for anyone to comfort them with their little made up bits of truth. Oh… You were too good for them. Oh… early to bed, early to rise. Oh… life is a party. Whats the motivation here? Paste over the holes in our whiskey distillation so that our purity doesn’t escape, and 180 proof our way into impotence of action, cover it up with a little vodka, or should I say Viagra. Whats left? A bunch of bullshit we invent to prop ourselves up, lying all day long, kicking the dogs we don’t understand, thinking we do. Dirty fuckers can’t give a bone worth chewing on, and think you’re the victims. This all puts me in an awkward situation. – Fuzzy C
