The Chemistry of Collision
February 5th, 2008 |

This car and I have great chemistry. It is as obsessed with me as I am with it, but this car isn’t mine. If this were mine, we wouldn’t be beautiful. I wouldn’t keep it in the garage until a sunny day drive. I wouldn’t wax and polish it to make it shiny for others to admire, or envy. No, if this car were mine, we would drive and live ugly. We wouldn’t stop at stop signs. We wouldn’t smile at speed limits. We wouldn’t get up and go to work. We would use each other, abuse each other, and thats the way it should be. It wouldn’t be pretty. It wouldn’t be lovely. I would wreck it, and it would wreck me. If one of us walked away, we would always know that the other one was with us. But it would be real, the kind of appreciation that you can only get from that burning passion… it’s not work, it’s chemistry. Something you couldn’t possibly feel sorry about. I would love to wreck that car. I would love the way it would feel to know that it was mine. Love the way we were full of life through each other.

Sort of how I like the way pianos are full of life:

I think these dudes are German. I know they are down with the Pirate Video Crew. They sort of fluctuate between breaks/ hiphop/ and reggae. Check out their myspace here. Website here.
