Buy the Ticket, Take The Ride. I’d like to think that everything I do is in good taste. I know that’s not true. That’s just not my style. I think if everything I do is reasonable, then I’m likely to be… uh… status quo. Actually, I don’t reason out my bad taste, that whole thing I just said is an after thought. The truth is I go with my own sense of the world, which means sometimes I’m ahead of the curve, sometimes I’m behind, and very rarely am i ever right on.

This might be some top 40 shit. I know that’s how that Ronson guy rolls. Actually, I don’t like Mr. Ronson… and I don’t like him for unfair reasons. First of all, His sister is wack, rolling off his work, being best friends with the nasty skinny Lohan (the thicker Lohan is still mmm buttery), and she says things are “epic” about every 5 seconds like a valley girl who fell into scenester clothes… and we know that epic word is Bitch slap of da weak material up here. I also don’t like him cuz I once bought a record of his based upon a whole list of dope emcees on it, and it was worse than an itchy asshole. How you can take some good rappers and make them sound bad while still getting a lot of media hype is beyond me.  But whatever. So back to my original point, this might be some top 40 shit. I wouldn’t know becasue I don’t listen to the radio. But what I do know is I dig it, and at least it’s a remix, which makes me cool, right?

I think Fine Malt Lyrics is a fucking classic, I think House of Pain got shafted by Jump Around becasue the rest of that album got overlooked. I think It is one of the best selling, slept-on albums ever. I think House of Pain gets ignored becasue they had commercial success and therefor the “cool elite” wouldn’t give them their due. Maybe I have questionable judgement… I mean… of course I do, but god damn if this beat isn’t still hot as shit…

According to whatever sources I’m remembering to make this short and simple, the story behind this mix goes something like this. Justice (Gaspard Auge & Xavier de Rosnay) remix Simian and get signed to Ed Banger Records, then they release D.A.N.C.E. and get lots of play and something about MTV  music awards nomination. Ok So then they get selected to do one of those fancywancy Fabriclive mixes which gets rejected becasue musicians are only suppose to have influences that are similar to the music that they produce. Yes, this is a strange mix, but it’s also an original voice, which is makes this maybe the best Fabriclive mix ever.
