Easy and obvious things are easily forgotten because you never appreciate what you didn’t have to work for.

So I hope the visitors to djnodj really take the time to give thanks for what I do… by giving thanks to the artists. Thank them with your interest in what they are doing, and making, and thank them in a way that they can continue on their path. You know what I’m saying, much like any other artist, their craft isn’t overly compensating in any way. We cite motivations and expectations of wealth and fame in music as disgusting, but most of the art on this blog is meant to avoid that polluted pool. Of course, what can I really say of anyone’s motivations but mine. None the less, I know that the fuel for those that put their love into their creations is the appreciation (not adoration). So just because it’s here doesn’t mean you’re absolved from being human and stoking the fire of another. You don’t give to get. You get what you give.
