I haven’t had many words in the past several weeks/months as I’ve been in unlearning some things. Let me say I’ve had my fair share of frustrations, fears, and failures in recent history and because of that I’ve developed a sincere appreciation for failure. The worst ones have been my best teachers, and my realizations are growth that is mine forever. A sort of alchemy of the soul, perhaps. And it’s because I’m fortunate to understand there is no growth without seeking knowledge that is outside of my current paradigm, that I continue to grow. But I also understand that it’s natural to fear what I perceive could hurt me, and so the natural tendency is to believe that avoidance of failure is proof that I am intelligent. And with in mind, I carefully seek not views and ideas that validate and provide self justification for fears that masquerade as wisdom. To try or think, to embark, to confront anything, requires that the desire to do so has to outweigh fear. What do you want to do? Don’t think about it. Just start. Keep starting. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
