Dryhump Champions Wednesday

A recent discovery of a mix I made a few years back really struck home that I’m fairly bored with music right now. Perhaps music better in 2010; music has better and worse years. Take for example 1978 and 1993, both amazing years for music. Crate diggers know. Or maybe I’m just out of touch. Whatever the fukk it doughnut really mattress. The hand drawn selection of audible peach fuzz you’re about to go down on is what I got this week.

Every man has a right to be shocked so long as it is his own shock and not a mere imitation of somebody else’s. What one has no patience with is the case of those people who are always shocked in herds. They are intellectually too lazy to be shocked, so to say, off their own bat. So they join a mob of the shocked as they might join a demonstration in the streets or a political party. – Robert Lynd

Dryhump Champion: Nine Saints
July 25th, 2012 |

“I want to hear raucous music, to see faces, to brush against bodies, to drink fiery benedictine. Beautiful women and handsome men arouse fierce desires in me. I want to dance. I want drugs. I want to know perverse people, to be intimate with them. I never look at naive faces. I want to bite into life, and to be torn by it.” – Anais Nin

A tennis court, baseline to baseline, is 78ft long. First serves are launched at well over 100mph. Some volleys come even faster. That means a player returning a shot has just 400 to 500 milliseconds from when the ball leaves their opponent’s racket until it hits his or her own. Just half a second.

To my estimation there are two ways to listen to this song. 1. Un-EQ’d Headphones (of course). 2. Mid-summer tent even with a wall of fukk you beating up on your eardrums til they ring for 6 days. That this is essentially 8 minutes of anticipated break without a break pretty much demands all sorts to god damn to follow…
