We’re getting all 1995 up in this shit and remembering how often I had to guess which side was teh A Side and which was teh B Side, and which mix am I really playing. Being from the Midwest, I always considered Prototype 909 to represent ‘the’ sound of techno. House, Minimal, Goa and whatever…In my mind, everything else was just an offshoot of Hard Acid. Well, maybe except jungle. If anyone has a copy of the Prototype 909 Live ’93-’95 disc you should hook me up… mine went missing when a buddy’s house got raided a good long time ago. Never lend anything to someone housing the combination of drugs and underage girls; it’s like a bat-signal for police and you won’t get it back.
