I don’t have shit to say and I haven’t for a while. We’re spread out in unfamiliar territory. The partially read stack of books grows higher; the things I have to learn is much longer list than the songs I’m listening to. To add that I’m underwhelmed with what I’m hearing; the signal to noise ratio in music is at an all time high. djnodj at conception was a irreverent and perhaps cynical voice of Tunawax which for a brief moment had the momentum… and then dissolved. Even the name djnodj was a jab at the imaginary coolness of music, and pointed at those that only prescribed to imitate and posture hoping to fake some sort of talent and status… Fuck those fucking dj’s. We’re music lover, cultivators, and creators, addictive digging and passionately sucking at the aural tittie’s milk of every genre from every country. And for a while it was that and I’ve been all too often blown away by it’s popularity with some pretty heavy industry names.. and a few of the enemies friendships I’ve made. It was never suppose to be about me, but I carried it and thus as I went so did it. I’m not calling it quits, not today anyway. But I’m at a loss as to what to do with this project and the fine line I walk.
