IN my pocket I carry a device that by the understanding of most people in the world today, is practically magic. In my backpack, a whole world of technology and that allows me to trade commodities around the world while sitting in a remote village in bumfucknowhere, and then immediately remix a song that was just published 5 minutes before by someone I never met. I can go almost anywhere in my 4 wheel drive, power everything, off road vehicle…and if I can’t get there in that, I’ll charter a heli that’ll pick me up at my doorstep, and later save my ass when it needs saving. I can, if I choose, live and die (sometimes daily), without leaving climate controlled spaces with sanitary conditions and instant food.  Within 5 minutes of waking up everyday, I literally exceed the useable collective power of all previous world rulers combined. None of these things I’ve listed are unique to me. We live the life that all of history dreamed impossible, and yet made possible. Quite truthfully, the limitations that exist are what we perceive them to be… nothing more and nothing less. So rhetorically, why is it that the vast majority of the people I talk to are so goddamn sorry for themselves? I already have my answer, but I’ll let you figure your own.
