Two Amon Tobin things equally worth noting: 1.) After almost 5 years since his last official release, the solo jarringly-abstract Foley Room, there is a new album ISAM due for consumption on May 23. Previews for the album are curious, and lead me to believe that the album wont be in the same vein as the more beat driven Monthly Joint Series he just did, but continues in the sci-fi-tronic direction , where sounds all but earthly.  2.) and Completely out of nowhere came Chaos Theory Remixed, which is a updated and transformed version of Tobin’s ‘Chaos Theory’; the original soundtrack to Tom Clancy’s seminal game ‘Splinter Cell’. While I’m not much for soundtracks or remix albums, this thing easily holds it’s own with remixes from (among others) Eskmo, Kid Koala, Daedelus, and (see below) The Qemists.
