It is COLD!!! outside… well at least it is here in Wisconsin. Don’t believe me? Then go ahead and ask Raashan Ahmad of the Crown City Rockers, who I finally met up with last Sunday in -35 degrees (wind chill) conditions. Headnodic is Fam, so Raashan is Fam, getting to chat, talk music and friends, and jump on stage with him was a long time coming. I’ve been a long time fan of Raashan and you’ll be seeing and hearing more from that whole family on djnodj for sure. Mad talent, great cat and deserves all the love and support we can show him. If you know already, continue to give it up. If you’re late onto this wagon, it’s alright we forgive you this time… just don’t let it happen again. Continuing to dig through the mass amounts of CD’s like a bear on top off a garbage dump, I find myself uncovering a half eaten bun cake here or there. I’m glad I gave this one another listen. Planet Asia’s official debut major release “The Grand Opening” has some pretty dope moments. Asia was in Fresno and The Bay, on a ton of mixtapes, a major label but didn’t release anything off of it…I think Interscope. He has done work since, before and collaborated with Rasco as “The Cali Agents” on a handful of projects.
This is that duo off of Planet’s 2004 release.
