Authenticity is rare these days. Integrety even more rare. I know too many people who’s life is about “getting theirs”, since it seems everything is about how much you can get. To me its all a bit boring.

Everytime something goes wrong, someone isn’t happy, something isn’t perfect…I always think I could have been more, I could have done more, I could have gave more, and if things don’t work out I always blame what I could have been and wasn’t yet. I think I wasn’t smart enough, wasn’t loving enough, wasn’t grateful enough, wasn’t creative enough, wasn’t giving enough, wasn’t something enough… I’ll have to be better. If I could do something more, everything would work out. I never think my best is my best, becasue I think those that “try their best” just do what they normally do and if it doesn’t work they have a convenient excuse. I never say, this is who I am and thats that. I always end up thinking about what more I could be, to make everything better. I forgive everyone else, and rarely forgive myself.

I suspect that placing this song last is mistake. It’s almost certain that by the time most of you get to this song you wont give it a fair listen. Its odd man out. So skip it because it’s not “you”, too slow, too lounge, too Jazz, and skip about the warm rain that turn into a hard torrent (3:35), skip the coolness of authenticity and go back to the fast life that makes you feel so important. Note: this isn’t the rock/metal Him. Actually, I don’t really know which Him this is. Fucking sprout.
