It’s not too often I find a whole album I like. The last one was the Gil Scott/Jamie XX album. And now Voyages, the debut EP from a 21-year-old Australian, Jack Vanzet aka Thurpence. Voyages, a  blissed out downtempo mood piece that seems to drift between ambient oceans and palm tree paradise… Comparable to Boards of Canada, Tortoise, Four Tet, etc. Perfect for this much-too-early spring rain storms.  I’ve posted the album player below so you can listen to the whole thing, and then head on over to the Thurpance bandcamp page to name your own price for the album. Can’t beat that with a baseball bat.
